Hachioji CampusThe non-profit organization SNET Taiwan, whose representative director is Professor Naoya Yamazaki, received the 2024 Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Award.

On Tuesday, April 8, 2024, the 2024 Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Awards were presented at the headquarters of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association (JTAA) in Minato-ku, Tokyo, and Teikyo University Faculty of Languages and Cultures Department of Foreign Languages Professor received a group award from the Japan-Taiwan Educational Support and Researchers Network (SNET Taiwan), a non-profit organization headed by Naoya Yamazaki. The Japan Foundation for Taiwan Relations (JFRA) is pleased to announce that it has received an award.
The Japan Taiwan Exchange Association is a contact organization for handling practical relations with Taiwan, which does not have formal diplomatic relations with Japan, and has been recognizing the achievements of individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions and good deeds worthy of special recommendation in cooperation with the Association's activities every year since fiscal year 2018. 2 individuals and 3 organizations.
SNET Taiwan was selected for the award in recognition of its activities to return the results of its research on Taiwan to society through educational support, including the dispatch of researchers to high schools and universities, distribution of learning videos on YouTube, operation of the website "School Trip Navigator to Taiwan for Everyone," and production of the book guide "Taiwan Book Trip. Yamazaki Professor attended the award ceremony on the day of the event and was presented with a certificate of commendation by Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki of the association Chairman.
This award follows the 14th Regional Research Consortium Award for Social Collaboration last November, and SNET Taiwan's activities have attracted significant attention as an advanced approach to regional research outreach.
Teikyo University supports social collaboration activities through research by its faculty members and others.
