Practical learning under the extensive laboratories and equipment, and the network of the Teikyo University Group

In the Department of Psychology, we fully equip with facilities for practical learning, such as "Cognitive Science Laboratory", "Social Behavior Laboratory", "Behavior Observation Analysis Room", and "Counseling Psychological Testing Practice Room". Furthermore, with the cooperation of the Teikyo University Mental Health Center, which is a training institution of the Graduate School, and the Teikyo University Kindergarten on the Hachioji Campus, we develop hands-on lessons.

Cognitive science laboratory

In the soundproof darkrooms on 11th floor, you can study human perception, recognition and social behavior. In addition, it is fully equipped with a brain function measurement room or facilities for line-of-sight measurement and virtual reality experiments.

Social Behavior Laboratory

Participants can interact each other via computer communication. This room is suitable for investigating human behavior in a group.

Playroom / Behavior Observation Analysis Room

The playroom is equipped with toys suitable for a wide range of age groups and equipment that can shoot from various angles in order to observe the behavior of children and adults. In the behavior observation analysis room in the next room, we can record video, record audio, edit and analysis.

Counseling Psychological Testing Training Room

This room is for counseling training and psychological testing training. At Teikyo University, faculty members with various backgrounds provide practical training from various perspectives.
